NEWTON'S APPLE
"Newtons's Apple" is a 120-gram paper model made up of 12 sheets of photo paper. The photo paper was previously colored with green and yellow felt-tip pens and then coated with a mixture of yellow acrylic paint and water. Finally, red nail polish was applied to give the apple a shiny surface. By selecting an apple as a "Food Object" in the context of analog model construction, my goal was to create a tribute to Isaac Newton, who was inspired to explore gravity by a heavy, falling apple.

TEXTURE
In the beginning, I explored ways to replicate the form and composition of my selected food object.
After selecting a pattern with convexly curved leaves, my primary focus was to replicate the texture of an apple as accurately as possible. Following numerous experiments with various coloring mediums, I ultimately opted for an application using felt-tip pens, acrylic paint, and nail polish.
